Default Tempo settings

For whatever reason it won't let me set my tempo higher than 125... Was it always like this? Am I forgetting something? Is that normal? Help thanks.

Whenever I try to tap tempo etc... It tells me that the tempo can only be set from 1 to 125... I don't remember it being that way I'm wondering if I inadvertently hit someting or changed some setting to make it like this. Thanks.

That is not right....

Pressing T while clicked in the tempo on your transport (with conductor turned off ) only lets you go up to 120bpm? I can go up to 500 if I can press it that fast....

I agree. I'm doing a song right now and have been using this to go between 134 and 155 just yesterday. Check the setting in the time signature for whole note, half, quarter etc. I believe having this set to whole(big maybe) restricts the tempo. Try different settings. Totally going off a distant memory while I was setting up session time signature/ grid resolution. I remember an anomaly like this.

Anyone ever figure this out? Getting this today in a huge session with a ton of mapping - won't let me go over 125 when doing a gradual speed up of tempo. My resolution is set to 1/4 note…this makes no sense? In PT11HD as well as PT10HD…

Help!

I only get that warning with resolution set to 1/1 note. Tried in PTHD 11.3.1 and 12.1 Mac.

Double check the resolution (to the right of "Tempo") in the MIDI Controls in the Transport or Edit Window.

I'll email you to get a copy of the session (if you can't solve it).

The resolution of the first tempo marker was indeed 1/4 note, but there's an advanced box in the tempo change window I've never seen before. For some reason, it's being defaulted to whole note? This has never happened before. I opened it up in PT12 before realizing it, but I was able to make it work by adjusting that.
