Default Which Size Apple Display Does PT Look Best On?

On the big 23" everything looks too small for me, what about 2 17's or 1 20"?

any ideas?

Looks great on the Apple 20" FPD, but I've only had it for two days.

If you have edit and mix windows open at the same time, it's a little more cramped than I'd like though as I'm accustomed to twin "19 monitors. Kinda depends on what you're used to.

For the time being, the 20" is going to be assigned as my desktop monitor.

When it's time to kick the 19"s out, barring other form factors, I'll probably opt for twin 20"ers.

If you're willing to forego Apple brand displays, you could get dual 19" DVI input LCDs for quite cheap. The problem with LCD displays is that most of the time, the native resolution is quite high for the physical size. But things only look razor sharp when the LCD is run at native resolution. Hence, things look small.

The Apple displays are nice. I use one everyday. BUT, since you asked...

A friend does symbology work for HEADS UP DISPLAYS for aircraft etc. For this he needs a very high rez helmet mounted display. He brought it over the other day. It has a nice set of headphoes and two eye pieces. THIS is the way to spend countless hours looking at Protools. It actaully is SO cool I can't believe someone has not put one togehter for all the "can't spend enough money on my rig" folks. It is light weight, VERY sharp and easy to use. A glance down allows you to see the keyboard.

Small problem though... the damned thing cost about $75k. He said if we buy a few hundred we could get them down to $50K.

Put me down for 1 ; )

Will I look like an F-15 fighter pilot while I'm working? - this could be the bomb!

I work @ 1280x1024 on a 17" LCD now. The way I understand it, nothing will change with a 23 except I have more space, right? Things will still be about the same size just more screen.

I have the old 22" cinema display, and the text is larger than on the 23" or the 20" (the old one is 1600 X 1024 over 22", versus 1920 X 1200 over 23" on the new one). If the text were any smaller than it already is my nose would touch the screen!

Does anyone here know the workaround for using the 20" Cinema Display in OS9? I have noticed that there are many people operating. Please, help. Thanks.
