When you synchronize it'll look what's on your iLok and update the list... it'll also keep a history of all transactions.

It doesn't sound like your assets aren't on your iLok... so just resynchronize.

my recommendation would be to call Digi tech support in the morning regarding your DINR auth. If you are registered for it, they can likely either fix it via PACE directly, or give you a new iLok authorization. The same goes for Sony, who get up a whole lot earlier than the folks in Daly City.

As we have been beating the iLok horse for a good month of Sundays- I thought I would leave with this great service / repair tidbit-

At my studio (which is on a film lot) we have janitors who move kind a fast, and when they were vacuuming, knocked a Mackie HR824 speaker off of an Ultimate Support speaker stand which had the speaker up about 6 ft. It landed on the poor janitor and then fell to the floor damaging the amp housing on the back- the cabinet survived, and the speaker still works which is cool, but I called a shop to fix it and they told me It would take 2.5 to 3 weeks to get looked at, or I could pay a rush fee of $35 to get it looked at within 48 hours.

so comparitively speaking, the iLok thing- at least to us US users is still pretty responsive.

sorry to hear about your trouble though...

Thanks, guys. I appreciate the tips and reminders from the pros.

What I do, I guess I'm paranoid, is synchronize about once a month and print to pdf all my assets for my records.
Come to think of it, I'm sure I have a screenshot from my last sync. (BTW, Rob, my head is at Lumahi Beach, the second of the three distant outcroppings in your picture. )

Last time I used iLok was to register a Massive Pack – so long ago, I forgot that a simple synchronization should take care of it. Thanks, Rail.

Both are registered. If the synchro doesn't update my iLok properly, I'll call Digi and Sony per your suggestion. Thanks.

For me, iLok just sits there - so long as my plugs are working. But, see how easy it is to start a panic...

Thanks for getting me back to reality.

Glad to see I'm not the only one knocking the Mackies!
