Re: Plugin for calculating RMS?
That's only one of the plug-ins in the free bundle. Lots of good stuff in there - analyzer, compressor, EQ, autopan and autopitch, limiter, notepad, stereoscope, WAV recorder, etc.

Re: Plugin for calculating RMS?
I spend one of my free monthly tokens talking with avid about that particular and it seems they are not going to... Ay least in the near future. I miss it.

Re: Plugin for calculating RMS?
Yup, I knew about this bundle and other plugins in it, but missed that nice analyzer.

Re: Plugin for calculating RMS?
I suppose I should have been more specific. I need to calculate the AVERAGE RMS. Does this meter do that too?

Re: Plugin for calculating RMS?
Average RMS? By nature, RMS is an average measurement. Do you mean integrated?
The melda meter I posted about displays momentary, short term, and integrated.

Re: Plugin for calculating RMS?
I'm really sorry about this, but I'm new to Pro Tools. I'm not sure what momentary, short term, and integrated mean. I only took one audio class at a community college and no one mentioned the different variations of RMS. I'm really embarrassed. But I appreciate your patience.

Re: Plugin for calculating RMS?
The measurements differ by amount of time. I'm sure a quick Google of the terms will tell you everything you need to know.

Re: Plugin for calculating RMS?
+ 1
I could use a RMS meter to use in Pro Tools. Unfortunately none of the suggested in this thread has the ability to measure RMS. The PSP didn't work for me, the meter just seemed off! Brainworks and Waves are a bit too expensive for me, for what I need. I only care for RMS.
