Default MADI - DANTE for MTRX Studio

Thinking about getting MTRX Studio. Seems to fulfill all I need other than the fact is doesn't have MADI. Is there a box that any of you use to convert incoming MADI (2 x 32 @ 48k on coax) and put out DANTE for the MTRX Studio to receive? Which box for that sole purpose? Seems like RME digiface would do it .. anything cheaper?

I only have 1 HDX card and would like to keep it that way. MTRX studio would allow live tracking 64 tracks and analog monitoring via 1 x HDX card as I understand it.

TIA for any thoughts / answers.

This is an option:

Yes to 64 channels with one HDX card.

There's actually a wide range of choices out there. Here's another two, not cheaper than the RME, but with more functionality, and they use the same control software as the MTRX Studio ;-).

DAD DX32R: https://www.digitalaudio.dk/DX32-Dig...idge.2057.aspx

Besides a built-in coax MADI, it also gives you 8 x AES I/O if you at some point will need that, e.g. for AES speakers. It also includes a monitor controller function similar to the MTRX Studio, though without speaker EQ.

NTP Penta 721s: https://www.ntp.dk/NTP-2018/PRODUCTS/Penta-721s

Same as DX32R but with an option slot where you can add 8 x AES, 8 x mic/line in, 8 x analog out, 128 ch. Dante with SRC or Dual SDI embedder/de-embedder.

They're a little bit more than the RME, but will give you more flexibility. The good thing is that they're in stock ;-).

FYI, the Dante interface on the MTRX Studio is different from "standard" Dante interfaces in that it offers 64 channels at all samplerates. So you can even feed it 64 channels at 96 kHz (or 192 kHz). "Standard" Dante interfaces reduce the channel count with increasing samplerate.
