Is this too much to ask????
Digi,
All I wish to know is this. Windows went to an official 32 track release, we (Mac) did the beta release for 32 tracks, with the DAE buggy to say the least. I am not in a hurry for the pt6 and OSX experience, I am happy with os 9, all I am asking is regarding a official release to a non-beta pt 5.*.* before the big move to X. Will this happen or is that it, a windows 32 official and a mac 32 almost right.? Any comment or brushed aside again. Not too much to ask is it? AJ

Re: Is this too much to ask????
I would not expect a full release of PTLE for the Mac until PT6.0 for OSX. I'm sorry, but all resources are focused on this OSX release.

Re: Is this too much to ask????
The ProTools rep at the LE Tour said that the 32 track beta is the actual release. They only put it up like that for some reason I didn't quite understand. Perhaps ProTools can shed some light on that...
PT does warn that the 32 track DL might cause new complications. I haven't had any with my 001 and 32 tracks, but I may be lucky.

Re: Is this too much to ask????
DigiCs,
Thankyou for the reply. Its appreciated to be acknowledged and informed on the current situation. I do hope there is a pt6 version for os9, there is too much time, money and users content with this os9, its proven stability and effectivity not to put it aside just yet. Though working on a higher end g4 myself, it would be fair to say that the majority are still on the older boxes and not only being forced into a new os, so too are they being forced into buying machines to run it to its potential. Please dont drop 9 too quickly. There would be too much to loose for the majority who have the current os and considerable plugs as an investment, a very expensive one. Thankyou. Aj
