Default 002-Bryston 3b clipping

Hi,

I'm going 1/4 inch out of the monitor outputs of the 002 to an rca input on an older Bryston 3b.

The 001 had an internal adjustment via the software to switch the outputs to -10 but I cannot find a way in 7.4 to do this.

If there is anyone who could help it would be appreciated.

Thanks

You are feeding a +4 signal into -10 inputs. There are a few interface boxes available to convert the signal. Try the Samson S-Convert

Is there anyway to convert the signal down to -10 via the 002 software through the monitor outs?

Have you used this box? Does it add any coloration to the signal?

Thanks!!

While I own this box, I have yet to use it(bought it to convert a -10 CD player, but never needed it). I would expect it to be nearly invisible(depending on everything else) and it should certainly sound better than a clipping amp. Personally, I would use the 002 MAIN outs and back to volume down on the 002, or find a tech who can mod the Bryston for a +4 input.
