What Do I Need?

I am currently trying to get together a mixing audio workstation, and am going to the RecW workshop in Chillicothe, Oh. We have all our recording equipment set up, but mixing and editing is currently going on in garageband. We are thinking of getting pro tools to edit and mix all of our music projects. My question is would I need a digi design interface to work protools just as a mixing program ( we would obviously buy plug ins to use). Or could we just run the program on a computer with a lot of hard drive space?

yes u need the hardware to run PT

If PTLE is all the power you think you would need and u dont want an expensive interface then get the LE factory bundle with the MBOX 2 or mbox 2 pro. it bundles quite a few plugins. (you get like nothing for I/O)
