8.04 Unzip issue after download

After downloading the 8.04 LE updater for Windows 7, I tried to extract the zipped file out of the lastest version of Winrar. In my first attempt I got a CRC Fail error message so I clicked "keep broken files" in my second attempt. Once I clicked the setup.exe file in the unzipped updater file it got an error win loading the data2.cab file and proceeded to install the file without the Creative Collection files. What is the work around for this so that I can get Protools 8.04 up and running properly?

Sounds like your download is corrupted.

Re-download.

8 times? At 784.87 MB, That's a lot of time to be wasting! Did you use the download link on the "Download Manager" page to use the download manager, or did you download directly from the "click here" link on the download manager page?

Can you confirm the size of your downloaded file? (784.87 MB)

I tried both the "Click here" and the "Download manager". The file that was downloaded each time was a little over 8mb....I used Firefox and even used Google Chrome. Same issue. I haven't tried with IE...

Download it to a differant hard drive, sounds like you have a bad sector that you are downloading to.

Do a ChkDisk and let Windows repair your hard drives. Then Defrag.

If you have WinRar you may be able to repair the bad CRC. I used Winrar for the unzip as well for this 8.0.4 and for pretty much everything. I hate the included Windows unzipper.

If the file is 8mb, then either it is not downloading all the way or you are looking at the file size of the download manager.

Use IE8, it works for this.
