Headphone Out Distortion

All of a sudden today I am noticing distortion on the headphone out of the PC. It has not been there before. The lines outs to DAT, Cassette etc. are OK. I can plug the same phones into my TASCAM 122 and it sounds fine.

Backing down the master fader or reducing level on MasterX makes it go away so it is definetly something crunching up in the headphone circuit.

Has anyone had this problem. This is a 2 year old PC. Has the old control room board in it. It has been clean up till now...

Any ideas...??

You need the analog upgrade. As I recall, it included an improved headphone circuit with more power.

I have an original ProControl and the headphone output distorted when the unit came out of the box new. I upgraded the analog board back in October and I have not experienced a problem since. [img]images/icons/cool.gif[/img]
