Default How to bypass global volume expression pedal?

Hi, I cant route expression pedal properly cause its stuck in global for most synths...Omnisphere, nexus, hybrd to name a few. Massive is the only one that doesn't have a global setting locked in so I can modulated anything to it.

However the others have volume triggered every time I use the pedal, so if I want fx mix or filter cut off etc I have to also have include volume too. Is this a protools issue or midi controller or plugin issue? I just cant seem to find a way around it. There has to be a fix otherwise why bother even having an Omnisphere matrix with expression as a source?? It defies logic if it's gonna trigger volume too.

Have you tried using the midi-learn function?

Yes but the expression -> volume default overrides any routing of midi learn or otherwise.

What keyboard controller are you using? Does it have a second expression pedal input?
