Elastic Pitch instead of Autotone?
Can I use Elastic Pitch instead of melodyne/autotune? how are the results?

You can, but it will not be fun at all. It might be okay for fixing a note here and there, but tuning an entire vocal.....no way. As for Autotune, do you need to do stuff that requires it? Melodyne Essential can do a lot for not much $$. If you could afford to upgrade, its now included AFAIK. Personally, I've done amazing stuff with Melodyne and its my preferred method of tuning(I like being able to control every nuance). Slate also has a plugin that works similar to Autotune, and I will often use that if all I need is a little polish(and it does the over-done trick pretty well, but I don't use that effect in my work)

The "Essential" version is included(see the Celemony site for details on the features of that version).
