Default Structure Real Time Time Stretch

Hi,

how can I set structure to play a sample and make a time stretch when I play different notes on the keyboard.. as default it increase or decrease the speed of the sample to make notes, instead I would like that it change the pitch but not tempo.

I read something about the midi players, but I did not understand how to do it.
Thanks!...

You can't. That's the nature of sampling.

If you want to create a beat that changes pitch but not time you need to create a REX file and for that you need Recycle.

Once you're created the REX file then you can pull it into Structure.

Alternatively use Transfuser.

In the early days yes, but there are samplers on the market that can do that now. Structure unfortunately is not one of them.

Kontakt can do this. There are different timestretch modes available.

Depending on the source sound, you may or may not get good results with it if you choose to go down that path. At the end of the day, it's always a compromise when stretching audio.
