Default Why Don\'t DigiDesign UK answer their phones!?

Ok Started this call at 15:10 GMT. It's now 16:02 and I'm still in the que. Sort it out DigiDesign!

No not yet. But as a last resort I might. Maybe everyones got fed up with their appauling customer support and gone in to their support room with an AK47 and mown them all down

I totally agree, Digi UK need their P45's and we need a new local office ASAP. They are totally inept in their lack of product know how and they can never be bothered to find anything out. We have a tonne of Digi gear in our studios here and they treat us like kak. We gave up calling them ages ago and look on the DUC for the answers every time now.

As far as I know they have only one member of stuff (serious!).
If you leave a message, and describe the problem, he will get back to you, well in my experience it usually takes around an hour.
That's why I appreciate this forum so much.

Please be assured that our phone lines are always manned from 10am to 6pm Monday to Friday and all messages left are replied to by the end of each working day.

Over the last few months we have taken great steps to improve our phone system and consequently the level of support has improved. We are often inundated with calls and this is why you get the option to leave a message after every minute on hold.

We urge you to please be patient and we will answer your support questions as quickly as we can. Please be reminded that your dealer should also be able to help in a lot of cases.

I bought a 001 from Turnkey a few weeks ago and had several problems setting it up. I found uk support to be most helpful and now I'm totally up and running. Whenever I couldn't get through and left a message, I always got a call back answering my problems pretty quickly. I hope I speak for the majority, but keep up the good work digi uk!

I think that people need to be a little more understanding? Once your on a call to them you will want to get your problems resolved without them being abrupt and wanting to get on with the next call.

I've been running a system for years and I think they're service mirrors their product......1st class.

No other company in this field has ever given me the quality of information as the uk team.

I'm in support of them!!

I would agree totally with digicaddie & Toadfish, our company is a
Digidesign authorised Pro Tools AV dealer and also the owner of 22
Pro Tools TDM systems for Hire in various flavours - so we've had a little experience of support issues.
We use the same support guys on the same phone lines that everbody else does in the Uk.
In my experience (7 years) Digi UK tech support has always been first class.
Also why no critisism of the dealer who supplied the systems ? they also have a responsability to offer an acceptable level of support to the end user.
Dan and Andy are both excellent and really do not deserve so a public dressing down - hang your heads in shame.
PS: Can I have my back hander now boys.
