Core Audio disappearing
Anyone else finding their Digi Core Audio driver spontaneously disappearing ?
In the three weeks that I've been using OS X with my 001, I've had to uninstall/reinstall the core audio driver half a dozen times. It happens like this: I open an audio app (usually Max/MSP), which has been set to use Digi Core Audio with the Digi setup, and find there is no Digi Core Audio driver present. When I then open the Digi setup, it tells me that the Core Audio driver has not been properly installed, despite the fact that it had previously been working. The only way to get it working again, is to uninstall and then reinstall. I have not (yet) upgraded to use Pro Tools under OS X, I am only using the Core Audio driver with 3rd party apps. Given this kind of performance, I doubt I will pay for an upgrade until I can be assured that the system is more stable. |
