Exclamation Problems loading PT8 LE

Hey so Ive had My mbox and pro tools for well over a year now, and when i first got it everything booted up fine. but then within the past few months everytime I try loading PT it looks like everything is going well, but then this error message saying "cannot locate digidesign hardware" comes up, and my mbox is connected, its on. and my pc knows its connected, even the mbox control pannel says its connected. but for some reason it doesnt work. and ive spent months trying to figure out what the problem could be, even uninstalling it, but i always just end up frustrated as all hell. Has anyone else encountered this problem and fixed it, or even have an idea of whats gone wrong
