Pro Tools 9 crash when importing audio in 48 session

hi have version 9.0.1 of Pro tools. (just recently upgraded to win 7 64 and protools 9). Besides a few annoying minor issues, there is a big one that I can't seem to figure out. When I open a new 48K session and try to import audio using the converter (its an MP3), pro tools freezes and I have to restart the system. Anyone else had this problem? I am currently downloading 9.05

i was teaching a student and we realized that the First release of Protools has this error. 48k sessions will NOT import and convert audio files. When we make the session 44.1k everything is smooth. We are going to try the 9.0.5 Protools updater and see if that fixes the issue. I will keep you updated. Thanks for the forum. You almost answered your own question. thanks again.

ok so we just updated to 9.0.5 with no luck. Still the same issue with freezing while importing audio in a 48khz session. We are sticking with 44.1 on my students computer. any one who fixes this issue. please let us know.

Converting the files to 48kHz (with another tool) before importing in PT9 works for me!
