Default Upgraded to Pt9 and Saffire 56++

Hi.
I just upgraded my studio with Pt9.03, Focusrite Saffire 56 + Octapre MKII Dynamic, Win 7 64bit ultra. My computer is an apporved Dell but when I try to open a new project in 24bit 48k it tells me that there has been changes and I need to restart PT. I checked in the Session view, and it says 48k, 24bit.

Now, I checked Control Panel (sounds), set it to 24, 48k.
I did all the optimalizations for PT.
The saffire app, set it to 48 and when I open a project I set it to 48k.
I have checked that saffire is the soundcard in PT and it finds all my IOs etc.
All databases, all is deleted. Tried different startup procedures.....
I'm not using my old Digi002 and havn't installed the driver for 002 and firewire.

AND, YES I do have backup of my old system :)
Other apps like Wavelab works fine.

What am I missing?

Not sure if this has anything to do with your problem, but you might try an alternate firewire driver such as the legacy one. I bought a Saffire 56 recently and love it!

When you change start a new session, you must specify the sample and bit rate. If you start a session and change the sample bit rate settings, it must be from the settings, playback engine menu. It will ask you to restart PT. Save it first and exit. When you open the session, make sure that the settings for your Saffire is already @ 24bit/48k otherwise ProTools will reset the sample/bit rate and it will ask you to restart again.

My finding so far:
I have 2 monitor 1x24" (1920x1200) and 1x19" (1280x1024).
When PT starts it sets the PT windows to the same size as my 19". If I adjust this PT window to match my 24, pt comes up that I need to restart because of ASIO changes.

I have disconnected my 19" and all works OK now.
I have a Nvidia Quatro 4800 with the newest drivers. Driver only installed!
My 24" is connected through the Digital out, and my 19" to display port->digital converter. These are the alternatives I have for connecting....

I will try another 24" to replace my 19" to see if this helps.

It would be interesting to know if changing the resolution so that both monitors have the same value has any effect.

I will try with two 24" tomorrow (tuesday).
I have managed to get a stable Pt9 now with only 1 monitor.

Two 24" with 1920x1200 works better and stable, sort of.
If I max out the PT windows to fitt both monitors 100%, it fails.
If I keep just a little on the bottom left, just some pixels; it's stable. Go figure.
I will try the old gfx card tomorrow (quatro fx.xxx, can't remember).
