which card???
whats the best scsi card that will work with pt24 and pt24mix in 9600s and g4s?
in other words which one can i buy for my old system that will support say 64 tracks on a mix system with g4 and none of this 6042 nonsense....

On the compatibility documents, there are newer, faster cards that are approved for the G4, but for the 9600, only the ATTO EPCI-DC is approved.
Of course, if you buy a new G4, you'll be able to do fine with FireWire or ATA, and won't need SCSI. There's less potential for -6042 errors with Firewire, because the disk traffic is taken off the PCI bus. Lee Blaske
