Default Studio Vision Pro - Audio works great on OS9 now ! really

For anyone who misses SVP,

All you need are the NEW OS9 updated Acadia files available here:

http://www.fm-music.com/v/setup/setup.html

Also, these new acadia files seem to only work with the most recent SVP 4.5.1 upgrade available here:

http://www.opcode.com

I happen to be using a 001 with direct i/o

-No more file read errors
-No weirdness
-Seems very stable
-Full automation including effect parameters

I still have nightmares about using that version with OS 8 and how I felt the $25 upgrade was a big waste. I went back to 4.2. Exactly which OS are you using?

I can use my digi001 via asio but not via DAE. DAE crashed except when I use it through the asio direct i/o driver. It is my understanding that this acadia thing is kinda like an asio bridge or something. Are you actually using DAE in the setup menu or acadia/asio? Your right though it does work as long as I have the digi001 asio driver installed in the asio directory. Thanks.. Thanks. here's the links that i found to the digi001 asio driver that is required... what happened to where it used to be? I can't even find the digi link to it.

No DAE, I'm using the direct i/o driver that comes with the digi001 when you install PTLE software.

So this is through ASIO then? what i mean to ask is.. do you have the digi001 asio driver installed in the asio folder in the root of your StudioVision pro directory?

Cause if there's any other way i would like to check it out as the asio driver has a 32 ms of latency not that i monitor through the tape heads anyway but the asio performance has always sucked, crashed and cause me all kinds of headaches. under cubase anyways.

There is a direct i/o driver in my asio folder.

I also have the digi direct i/o extension installed.

In visions "hardware setup" window I select "direct i/o"

The direct i/o driver in my asio folder is not the same as the one you mention and have a link to above.

I think that one is made by steinberg and the one I have is made by opcode.

interesting. I'll look more into it. Can you email me the direct i/o driver so i can work with it, compare it to the digi001 asio driver and post it on my web site?

send it to [email protected]

It will be interesting to check out if one outperforms the other, I'll try both also.
