Internal CD writer install on G4
I'd like to replace the internal DVD player with and Internal Plexwriter I have. I've done this many times on IBM clones but when I open the G4, the DVD drive doesn't look very easy to remove.
Am I missing something? Is there a web site that could help? I find it hard to believe that it's as hard as it looks. Thanks |

Re: Internal CD writer install on G4
It's not hard - you first need to get the front bezel off, depending on which model you have, there should be a couple of plastic tags at the side that you can tweak to get it off (you'll see what i mean when you open it up - I hope). Then just remove the screws and the whole drive assembly should just slide out of the front.........
Thats how it works on my G4/400 anyway. |
