steve: Lvd drives.
Steve, I have experienced several things with my rig that cause me concern. I have a powermac9600 w/ a newer g3 400 card and 256 ram. I have a 4 gig drive for apps only and a ibm ultra star 10,000 rpm lvd drive with a granite adapter, on the internal bus of the 9600. ( I formatted using the apple utilities) With several sessions I have encountered this scenerio: Loud pop then no output on aux channel. Plug ins were all digi plugs. When I remove the plugs It is o.k ( See signal loss due to plug ins in le sect.) Also A screeching sound w a 24 track section with heavy automation. Could this be a drive issue? I have gotten nowhere with digi on this. It's going around in circles. ( please read I am deaf in Digi 001 sect. of duc. I would appreciate any info you may have. Thanks
