Default 10.3.2 more problems

This gets very frustration, all the money invested and cant get things to work. I finally got 10.3.2 installed and did test recording the other night ok no problem, 3 tracks . now today testing one track a click track, working it's working then stops out of the blue. Now it is telling me it cannot find the ASIO audio driver could not be intialized please choose another audio driver? I have the digi 003 it is on, nothing changed? why cant we get a product with out having to become troubleshooting enginers all the time

did the install update your digi003 drivers? did you do a clean install of pro tools on upgrade? i know sometimes windows is a total pain with drivers and as such, ptools is not always to blame... i find its always best to install drivers separately, before PT install and always right click on install file & choose RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR... I had some issues with Eleven Rack very early on... once i followed this advice on all install files including PT 10.3.2 INSTALL, all ills went away and now run smooth as ever... I've yet to experience any issues running PT HD 10.3.2 on both HD/NATIVE & ELEVEN RACK

food for thought... upgrading is never easy.. specially when we're talking about legacy products....

Yes I uninstalled and cleaned the rgistry and di a clean install. What I did was close the session and restart the computer. Seems like it is working but Ihave no idea why i was working with a click track and all of a sudden it just stopped. Couldnt record or do any thing. Frustration, but So far i got it working again, thanks for your input

Have you tried re-installing the 003 drivers?

Install them with the 003 switched off then reboot computer with it switched on.

yeah thats kinda what i was talking about.. but it is a good idea to install them with
the unit off and when you restart it should recognize it...

i know sometimes i run into issues but i run both native & 11R... it will boot fine but then
little things are a miss if i dont do a clean 11R boot and recognition...

I've found in the past that if I boot my computer then turn my interface on it can cause recognition problems.

Now, I always turn my interface on before booting computer, it's the officially recommended way anyway....no more problems.

Good point. I have my PC set to boot on AC restore and have most of the rig on a single rackmounted power strip(fed by a UPS). 10.x HD and my 003 have yet to have a hiccup.
