Default How can I un-install an unwanted plugin?

I tried a vst plugin called Hauptwerk by using it with Fxpansion's vst to rtas adapter. Although it installed it in my protools version 8 it never worked so I un-installed the adapter and returned it to fxpansion. However the plugin is still listed in my instrument menu options. How can I get rid of this unwanted entry?
