Default Are Leopard and Logic Better?

I just got a new job working in audio. I got an Mbox2 Mini, which is powerful enough to fulfill my job requirements. But my old iBook G4 is not (I need more RAM, hard drive, CPU space, etc). So I need to purchase a new computer. But as all of you know all new computers are shipping with Leopard which is not compatible with Pro Tools. The Mac guys are trying to convince me that I should ditch Pro Tools and go with Logic because it's a) compatible with Leopard b) a way better program and c) will eventually be the new industry standard.

Bottom line, I need a working system yesterday and if Pro Tools can't supply what I need, I may have to go Logic.

What think all of you?
