TRS outs on MBox question...

Been a while since I have thought about this, and I do not have my Getting Started guide with me unfortunately... but the TRS outs on the MBox would not have a powerful enough gain in order to run passive monitors straight out of them without an actual pre-amp for the monitors correct? Was just curious if anyone has ever tried running the outs to a set of passive monitors? I know of course they wouldn't sound as good as active ones, but....

If you can run passives out of the TRS outs, I might be re-wiring my project room by the end of the week... Thanks in advance

no you would defintely need an amplifier. you might be able to use one of those old single ear plugs like they used to sell with AM radios though....

with the proper 1/4" to 1/8" adapters of course...

yeah, figured as much... just thought of that the other day and was like... Hmmm... by the time you pay for the amp and the passive monitors, you're paying the same as an active set of monitors basically... so, lesson learned... buy active monitors... hehe
