Default trouble with .wavs

Hey guys,

I'm in a fairly frustrating situation here. Whenever I bounce a track in Pro Tools 6.3 to .wav, it apparently cannot be worked with in any audio workstation aside from Pro Tools itself. I'm bouncing as the following:
File Type: BWF (.WAV)
Format: Stereo interleaved
Resolution: 24
Sample Rate: 44100
Convert After Bounce
The problem is that my producer/mixing engineer works in Soundforge, and is unable to import these files into his program of choice. However, the problem is not on his end. As a test, I tried to import the audio myself into Cakewalk Sonar, and I couldn't get the files to work there either. It just says the "audio format is incompatible". However, these same files still work like a charm in Pro Tools.
So it basically boils down to this: How do I simply bounce an all-purpose .wav file from Pro Tools?

Thanks!

you must put the dither plugin on your master fader and set it for 16 bits!Make sure the dither is first on the master fader also .

Check to see what the bitdepth and samplerate of the cakewalk and soundforge sessions are and bounce your files accordingly.

Hey gira29 ,

Today is a holiday here in Canada, so my advice might be slightly off, due to consumption of over sized beverages...
However..

My gut feeling telling me you are on Mac !
We (PC users ) never had a 6.3....so, make sure to also enforce the Mac><PC compatibility mode !
Soundforge should easily open 24bit BWF's. WaveLab does...
But, if no go..try AIFF.

good luck,
cheers,

I can open stereo interleaved 24 bit 44.1kHz created with Pro Tools in Sound Forge (and any other well written app which supports that resolution) just fine... which version of Sound Forge is he running?

Why don't you BTD a small file and email it to me.. or check it out with my Header Investigator.
