Is it possible...
To use a 3rd party software program w/ my digi 001 such as Cakewalk 9.0 or Cool Edit so that I can perform some "mastering" techniques to my mixdown .wav file? I wouldn't be doing any recording within these programs, just alterations to the .wav file. I'm running a PC w/ windows ME. Is that at all possible using the digi 001 (and not another sound card), and would I need to get a certain driver to make it happen? The only driver I have installed is the one which came with the CD, and I haven't installed any updates or other digi001 drivers because my system has been stable and I didn't want to compromise that. Thank you!

Re: Is it possible...
Any ASIO Supported application will work as there are 001 ASIO Drivers

It is my understanding that, according to a search on this forum, only Logic Audio will allow you to tap into all the channels that the 001 supports, otherwise you're limited to just channels 1 and 2.

Re: Is it possible...
Actually, ASIO is only supported on the Mac. This is a Windows forum. However, you can use your 001 with the standard windows MME drivers with most audio apps, and it works great. So no, you don't need another card.

Re: Is it possible...
If you are just talking about a 2 track wav. file, I use Sound Forge with the 001, and it works just fine.....
