Master Bus + Midi delay compensation

Hello all,

I am experiencing a problem with Pro Tools Ultimate latest.
I have SoundID room corrector on the master bus. That's the only plugin I have in the master bus chain.

When recording an instrument channel that has no plugins other than the instrument, I am experiencing severe delays in midi in the recording - the recording is completely off in terms of timing.

I wonder if other people are experiencing this, and what is the remedy.

Turn off delay compensation on the track with a VI on it. It's part of the nasty delay compensation bug for everything MIDI. In the sticky at this forum "PT-263943 .

However, if you use this workaround: don't use plugins on the track with a VI with significant sample delay, otherwise things will go south again regarding timing:)

Also, make sure that if you are tracking things with SoundID Enabled on your master bus, make sure the filter is set to "zero latency". In the other modes, you will have some latency and PT will not account for it.

Just to understand, this problem has been in Pro Tools since ver 12? I find it impossible to believe.
