MC Transport session navigation question
I am having trouble finding this info anywhere, but it is hopefully an easy question for you Transport owners running Pro Tools.
At work, I have a D-Control and use the Jog Wheel in conjunction with the Mark In/Mark Out buttons to quickly navigate through my session, where the wheel is dynamically scrolling through my session. The Transport looks like a potentially good solution for my home setup. Is there a way to mimic that behavior in Pro Tools? All the examples I have seen are of people sliding around regions with it, etc, and haven't seen true "navigation" examples. Thanks for any help.

Re: MC Transport session navigation question
You can definitely use it to move the cursor around though I can't remember if the timeline follows along. I'll check next time I'm in front of mine and report back.

Re: MC Transport session navigation question
Ya it'll do it. When on Mark In you can wheel it forward and backward and the timeline will follow, though when going backwards it makes a selection, not really a big deal, just sayin'.
Hope that helps. JR

Re: MC Transport session navigation question
Thanks for the reply, that's great news... So there are Mark In/Out buttons on the Transport itself?

Re: MC Transport session navigation question
Yep, it's in the eucontrol software. You can Mark In, Out, and Move Selection. Looking at it some more though it's probably easier to use the Scroll functions with the wheel to do what you want as there is a Scroll Horizontal and Scroll Vertical. It doesn't move the cursor but it can shuttle around the session much quicker.
