Mbox 2 Micro “Preferences” and “Quit Pro Tools LE” are Grayed out mouse can't select
MacBook Pro 10.6 OS X
Pro Tools Micro USB installed 8.03cs2 Was running fine until I closed a session and quit PT When I reopened Pro Tools on the Laptop, My Mouse would move in the session but not allow me to select anything in the session. Drop Down Menus were selectable . Also “Preferences” and “Quit Pro Tools LE” are Grayed out in the drop down menu, can only force quite to get out of it. Worked fine on my first 2 sessions then this occurred, any idea? |

Did you close your laptop or let it go into sleep mode while Pro Tools was open, by chance?

I Quit Pro Tools and it may very well have gone to sleep mode prior to me reopening relaunching a session, was using it on a plane and went to the restroom.

Posting my results in case this happens to someone else and they google similar search terms and end up here.
First off being a Noob on the forum, i didn't read the sticky before posting! It was helpful. I deleted all of the Pro Tools Preferences, deleted the digidesign databases. Changed the settings so that the MacBook Pro never went to sleep, restarted and relaunched Pro Tools LE 8.03cs2 and it was up and running again. I soon had a frozen screen and had to force quit again, I believe it was due to not turning off the AirPort Wifi. Since running with AirPort off i have had several more random freezes ,Pro Tools is not responding incidents, I just force quit and relaunch, I believe this may be related to having only one hard drive and not using a second drive for my sessions. Just wanted to learn Pro Tools 8 before upgrading my other proper studio and though the Micro would be helpful for that. |

Re: Mbox 2 Micro “Preferences” and “Quit Pro Tools LE” are Grayed out mouse can't se
Hi there - I'm having exactly the same problem. I thought I'd worked it out and it was to do with the credits window still being open which I seem to remember having the same effect on mouse control and things being greyed out.
But I'm not getting anywhere now. No airport on.. The last time it did it I just reinstalled the update and it worked as it should. I've done this twice now and each time I shut down I can't load up again. Really not sure what has done this. Maybe an apple update?? Any luck there? El |

Hi all,
I just ran through the delete preferences topic and did that. There is a handy app here for removing plists etc at the click of a button. Link below. Good night! http://web.mac.com/jcdeshaies/applic...Bienvenue.html |
