MixRack Inputs 1/2 Not Working?

Recently inputs 1 and 2 to our Venue Profile MixRack system have stopped working.

I can not see anything obvious in the settings that would prevent them working, they seem to be set correctly in the patchbay matrix window.

If I change the inputs to 3 or 4 for example for a particular channel, then I get input, but changing it back to 1 or 2 gives no input.

Is there anything I might have missed that would prevent inputs 1 and 2 from working?

What is feeding the Mix rack? Is it just pure analog lines from the stage or is there some type of digital split you have which is converting digital to analog to the console?

It is fed by analogue lines from stage, through a mic splitter on stage.

But I am testing with a tone generator at the MixRack itself, put a tone into 3 or 4 (or any other input) and I get signal, move the tone to 1 or 2 and no signal.

Maybe needs to go back to Avid for repair?

Hi Simon,

The quickest was to check this is to plug tone into a ch 1 or 2, and then soft patch within the patchbay to a known working input channel (ch 3 or 4 as you describe). If there's no sound, then it's likely a faulty channel or A/D converter.

Contact your reseller or Avid support and they can set things straight.

Yes, seems like a faulty channel on the AI16 card.

Also swapped the ribbon cable with the AI16 card below it in the MixRack, and the faulty channel moved across to 17/18.

So have sent it back for warranty repair/replacement.
