Microlynx vs. PT 6?
I happened onto a Microlynx for cheap. I remember in an earlier version of Pro Tools we had the Microlynx following ProTools (i.e Pro Tools as master). Is that possible in Pro Tools version 6?

Re: Microlynx vs. PT 6?
It should work as a timecode only master

Re: Microlynx vs. PT 6?
I know of 2 ways to do it- I do not think the serial port on the Lynx will be of much use though-
method 1 is to send MTC to the microlynx via a midi interface- works well, but the lynx will make a clicking noise as it is running. method two is to record timecode to a track and send it to a ML machine in as a timecode master. The benefit to this method is that the timecode can be used off speed, and it can be "looped" without trouble. charles maynes |
