Default MTRX Studio Dadman Can't Join Digilink 1 ch. 7-8 to DA

Hello, I'm trying to get a new MTRX Studio setup going. It's partially working, but I'm stuck setting up a 5.1 monitor profile. I'm playing noise out of Pro Tools. Channels 3 to 6 are working, but I'm not able to join/connect 7 and 8 of Digilink 1 to 7 and 8 of DA Line. I can join and un-join other channels, but not those two. When I click on the junction, nothing happens. If you look at the screen shot, I've placed a red circle around the problematic junctions. Does anyone know how I can solve this problem? Thanks.

Outside of a big, there could be two possible causes.

The first is to try hitting the delete all unused groups button, then save your profile. Sometimes it gets a little confused if there are unused groups floating around.

The second is, are you trying to manually route the channels? You don’t need to do that using the routing matrix of you are doing it through the a monitor profile. Once you set your sources and outputs in the monitor profile, you can just select the source and output in the monitor section and the routing matrix should automatically populate.

I can see you have created a custom 5.1 format for the output. I suspect you have used the "Rear" speakers and not the "Side" speakers when you created the custom format.

Audio channels in the monitor profile are routed from source to output based on their "Role", i.e. left to left, right to right, left rear to left rear, left side to left side, etc.

You can fix this either by using the same custom format ("5.1 SMPTE") on your source and output, or create a new custom format using the side speakers and not the rear speakers.
