Default 48kHz on PT LE 5.1.1

Why I can't record to DAT via S/PDIF 48kHz without "cricks", "crackers" and
other weird things? It seems jitter but
have checked the internal sync of the
PT over and over

do you have the DAT machine as the snyc device, or is it the 001? you may need 2 spdif cables too, in and out.
