Default Upgrading from PT7 - PT9 will i lose any plugins?

Hello,

I have just bought PT9 and am a little wary about installing over my PT7. I do not want to lose any plugins!

I have the usual plugins that came with PT7 like Amplitude, iZotope, Reason, and also some i bought like EZDrummer and BassAmp.

Can anyone give me feedback on whether these will all be retained in PT9 when i upgrade??

Thanks so much,
J

I went from 7.3.1 to 9, with all Plugins intact !
I think I may have had to update Soundtoys stuff, but it was totally do-able---and easy.

For any third party plugins, you should check with those companies' websites to see if there are new updates for the plugins (very likely considering how old PT7 is).

Also note that if some of those plugins were part of the old Ignition Pack, that was discontinued when PT8 came out. There have been a few updates for them and they may work, but they're not really supported anymore.

However, PT8 and 9 include some new plugins and instruments that you will probably enjoy.
