I want to drag some audio files in from my workspace right into the timeline -- is there a way to get these to add as opposed to copy?

Re: Drag from workspace -- A way to Add NOT Convert
The default behavior is to reference/ add, rather than copy/ convert, unless you hold down option (Mac) or the file is somehow not matching the session format.

Re: Drag from workspace -- A way to Add NOT Convert
Additionally, if the files are interlaced stereo files, even that match the session sample rate and bit depth, PT will make copies so it can convert them to dual-mono files...
