I'm using it on a few sessions...

now that my CPU is a g5/dual 2.5 with 8 gigs of ram, no more issues. It likes ram. It likes cpu power.

make sure you download the latest version.

oh, I have not used the loops, just the sound library...

it didn't work...

i had BFD from version 1.0 and it simply wasn't ready for RTAS and/or my G4/867 at the time... a combination of my faster hardware and BFD updates (don't know which was more significant) makes it work now. for me. YMMV.

Hello,

Yes, since the update version 1.0.10.13 and now there's version 1.0.10.15 all is great with RTAS version. You get BFD multi output versions which makes it really usable now as running more than one instance is pushing it a bit as it is very hungry on power and dsp. It uses almost half dsp power on my G5 2gig dual.

The sound is awesome and having individual outputs for kik out/kik in/snare top/snare under/hats/ t1/t2/t3/cym1/cym/2cym/3 makes it as real as it is ever going to be!!!

The expansion kits look really good as well!? i'm definately going to get both the XFL and the 8 bit kit and with both these i reckon i'll be trashing most of my other drum samples!!!

One bug i still have is with the audition mode! it usually forces PT into a quit!! fx support have e-mailed me and say they will have this fixed soon. As this plug-in is very complex and the most versatile of any plug-in i have used i think one small bug is no problem!!!

Regards

Chris

RAM is really crucial for BFD. you should have at least 2 gigs of RAM, then it´s beatifu. Should work very fine on your 1,8 G5 with 2 GB RAM.
make shure to download the newest installer, and copy the files to your HDD first, and then use the installer. This is explained in the readme file that comes with the installer.
enjoy, and tell us what you think about BFD!

Cheers, Andi

The new version works for me with only a big snag:
I follow the manual instructions to get all the out present in the Protool Mixer:
One stereo Audio track with fxpansion inser which end up to be the Overhead st out
two stereo Aux for Romm and Piezzo
11 mono Audio for the rest of the kit

For the 11 audio tracks to be heard I have to go in input monitoring mode
I Can't bounce my mix like that,
i just found out today at the end of my session.
i did not have the time to investigate the matter further .
i'll try AUx mono instead of audio tomorrow .
Anyone as a workaround on this one ?
Francois
