Sony cell phone as PT wireless remote control
there was another thread about this, but i decided to start a new one so it doesn't get lost.
i found a way to make my sony T616 control PT remotely and wirelessly. i created some instructions here: http://dj3plet.dynu.com/tips/PcControl.htm the commands i used in my xml file are things i think are useful. maybe you'll agree. there are still several unused keys. i can change it if someone thinks of some other useful remote-type commands. the only thing is that the commands MUST be on the alpha keyboard (can not be on the numeric keypad). <KEY_1> - Play (Spacebar) <KEY_2> - Record (Crtl+Spacebar) <KEY_3> - Stop record and delete take (Esc) <KEY_4> - Locate play/edit cursor to previous region-boundary/sync point (Ctrl+Tab) <KEY_5> - Locate play/edit cursor to next region-boundary/sync point (Tab) <KEY_6> - Return to start of session (Enter) <KEY_7> - Quick Punch (Ctrl+Shift+P) <KEY_8> - Toggle Enable/Disable Pre/Post Roll anyway, i hope someone can make use of this. i think it would be useful if you have a separate control room, but you're recording yourself; or if you just need to be away from the computer a few feet but still need to control PT without jumping out of your chair every 30 seconds. Enjoy!
