Default Analog Gear Connections to the Digi 003???

Hey everyone, I ran into a situation that I am having difficulty with, any answers would be much appreciated. What I am trying to do is hook up my TC Electronic M1 XL vocal effects unit to my 003. I went from the M1's 2 outs into the Digi's analog in's 5 and 6 (using xlr to 1/4 convert cables), then from the outs 5 and 6, back into the M1. I opened a session in Pro Tools, hooked up the mic, but realized... what the heck do I do now? I created a send from the mic track, and tried assigning that to 5 and 6 analog but still nada, played around a bit too with the I/O, but I know I must be missin a step, connection, or something. Anyone got any input? Thanks - N8V

Since you have the I/O of the M1 plugged into parallel I/O of the 003, why don't you use it as an insert? Just like you would a plugin.

Details for doing this are covered in the Pro Tools Reference Guide in Chapter 36.

Also, since the M-ONE has SPDIF I/O, setting up the connection thru SPDIF will save you on conversion latency and leave the analog I/O available for other stuff.
