qtmlClient.dll missing can't upgrade to 7.1

I am having problems upgrading to 7.1. I receive a feature file missing qtmlClient and the install just stops. So then I tried to install 7.0 back and that didn't work. So I pulled out my original copy 6.9 CD and it won't let me install either. Could it be an Ilok problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated!


My setup

My total set up is a Roland X6 maxed out with dimms, 1GB compact flash card, Dell dimension 3000 P4 (chipset 865G) 2.8 MHZ 2GB ram 40 gb system and 300 gb secondary harddrive, lightscribe dvd burner, with a M-audio firewire 1814 and pro tools M-powered 7.

qtmlClient is Quicktime; do you have quicktime installed (6.5 or later is required to run PT)? Have you tried re-installing quicktime?

I uninstalled Quicktime and attempted to install 7.3 and 7.4 I received Quick time installation failed error code -3. Before that when I tried to install pro tool 7.1 I received

So when you tried to install QT, you got an error? Smells of a problem with quicktime. Try cleaning the registry of any quicktime reference, restart, and then try to install QT again.

I down loaded a free registry cleaner and it found lots of problems! I deleted some files and now I can load Pro tools 7.1. Thanks for all of your help!
