Master meter?

So if I set up a click track and a master track, that's it, and click play my click starts rolling. But the weird thing is that the meters don't line up. The master meter is a little bit lower even thought both faders are at 0.

Is this because the master meter isn't set to respond to transients as quick as the aux track with my click.

No, it's because the mono click signal is being split between the 2 stereo channels the Master is controlling. If you put a stereo Aux track in there and send the click to it, then pan both channels center, the level on the Master should be the same as on the original mono Click track.
