external effects
hey.. im trying to use some external reverb effects because i run out of cpu power when i use too many plug ins. however i cant seem to figure out how to run the effects.. i set everything up and it worked but the reverb was mixed in w/ the original track. so my only control over the effect was on the reverb unit using the 'blend' knob. is there a way to have the original track dry, and have another track that is just the reverbed signal. so then i could mix the 2 together using the mixing faders?? and if so how would i do this?? thanks

Re: external effects
There's a section of the manual that covers using outboard effects. Look in the index under "bussing" or "busses".
Essentially, you use an aux send to a hardware output to the effects unit, and return it via a hardware input with an aux track receiving that input. Then you control the level via that aux return channel or send it to an audio track to record it. ------------------ LW
