Default Digital or Analogue output from keyboard

Hi, i was researching about this and i find it hard to make a decision,

i'm pluggin a Fantom x-6 into the m-box 2

the digital is at 44.1 hertz, however since its digital, and its just 1v or 0v, there's no chance of it screwing up

the analogue can be recorded into the 48 hz protools session, which then is resampled, and i'll have a 48h project from which i heard if i wanted to do various processes to it, there's less noise? (i.e. stretching or other such processes)

i was just wondering, does the little 48 - 44.1 hrtz make that much difference?

and what kinda things can go wrong with analogue,

cheers

Jack.
