Can I upload tfx presets without Pro Tools?

Just received the 11R yesterday. Turns out it was shipped with PT LE version and should have included v9.... I was told not to install the LE version and they would sort it out next week.

Meanwhile, I have 30 presets downloaded that I want to get in the rack for a gig tomorrow. I do not have any other software... is it possible?

No. Not at this time.

Pro Tool MUST be open in order to have the Eleven Rack On Screen window open. And the Eleven Rack Window must be open to load presets to the Eleven Rack or save presets to the computer from the Eleven Rack.

Wow! AMS really needs to get it together with regard to selling the 11R! It's not like this is the first time they've assured a customer they were getting the newest version only for the customer to find it was the LE version instead! Save yourself some grief and just return it to them ASAP! There was another user here they did the same thing to and promised him they would get him the newer software etc... A week or so later they contacted him and told him it was easier if he just sent that 11R back to them! Shame on you AMS! BTW, how did I know you purchased it from AMS, because I saw your other post about it on the Eleven Rack Users Group. :)

Hold the EDIT/BACK button on the 11R unit for 2-3 seconds. Use the Scroll knob to scroll to the "last page", highlight FIRMWARE VERSION, press the button next to SELECT (SW1)

And your firmware version will be listed.

The ERXP firmware version is 2.0.x

If your unit came with PT8 LE, then it almost assuredly does NOT have the ERXP pre-installed as that only came to pass AFTER PT9 was included with the bundle.

I concur! I'll guarantee you don't have the expansion pack installed on that unit! It's ridiculous that AMS keeps doing this to their customers!

I think it's also ridiculous that's Avid's plan for dealing with old stock in the channel that lacks expensive software uogrades is ".......". (nothing)
