Adding 3rd card++removing video card for G5

im thinking on getting a hd3 but my g5 dual 2.5 has a double slot video card. so i need to replace it.


how have you guys done this and what did you use to replace the pcix video card?


(also, its a very loud G5. ive gone through forums and technicians and nothing so far. the fans get very loud upon opening any application even text edit. no matter what temperature its outside or inside.
and wont come down. ive cleaned it, checked for any sort of leakage from the liquid cooling system but nothing. i tried changing the firmware for the fans but nothing.
the point is that im afraid that if i add a non fan video card the system will get too hot and do damage. )

if u guys dont have fan/loud problems then just tell me about the card replacement for a g5. how easy it is or tips if any and what cards should i go with.

Wasn't the entry-level video card a one-slot and passive cooled version?

ATI Radeon 9600 XT was the original, I have the same machine. I just replaced mine.
