Please publish the midi cc controls for pro tools 8!!!!

hi guys,
i've signed up just to join in this discussion.

I'm using PT9 on Osx 10.6.7.

I'm making a diy controller for
8xsolo
8xmute
8xrecord arm
bank l+r
and transport.

I'm using max msp to convert keyboard ascii to the required midi cc.

I find myself in the same boat as mickblah where cc57 acts as a flip between solo and mute functions.
If i change the output peripheral in protools, all of a sudden cc57 cycles through mute, solo, record arm, track select etc.

It's worth pointing out though, it's not the chosen device that makes the difference; It's just the act of changing device.


I have been able to instigate this change myself through trial and error, but i can't pinpoint what does it.

Can anyone chime in on this?

i've just learned that if i change hardware output and access the mode where cc57=cycle,
then cc109 allows me to switch between 57=cycle and 57=mute/solo toggle.

however, if i start my software up and cc57 is acting as mute/solo only toggle, then cc109 won't do anything at all.

SAME PROBLEM HERE! I also have similar troubles though I have most of the transport buttons working probably because i bought the m-audio AXIOM 49 2nd gen. It looks nice but still need help getting the faders working. However at least its a start (thank god there IS SOME compatibility built in - DO WISH THERE WAS MORE or total compatibility / user friendly setup from avids own product lines. I just cant afford $20.00-39.99 for every question that I have. If someone knows how to set up faders on Axiom 49 2nd gen please hit me up.
