Default How do you add color to the mix window?

I was on some web site that i forgot, and I saw the whole channel strip on the mix window was in red. It was from top to bottom. Can I make custom colors for each individual track. And I'm not talking about the mix channels end caps. Hmmmmm?

I have a Tutorial for how to do that on my website.

Keep in mind that this is only a feature of version 7.3 and above; older versions do not function this way.

It's actually a "hidden" feature and not covered in any of the manuals, so you didn't really miss anything. It's not readily apparent how to do, which is why I created that tutorial page.

Hmm. For some reason this isn't working for me. I'm on XP. (Of course, I don't have a "start" key on my keyboard.) Is is supposed to be the Windows key, or the shift key? Or I am just a little slow on the uptake. Sounds like a cool feature.

Start key = key with windows icon, yes.

As I mentioned both on the tutorial page and in the post above, this feature is only available in Pro Tools 7.3 and above. You must be using 7.3 or higher for this to work. Lower versions, such as 7.1, 7.0 and 6.8 do not have the functionality.

I'm using 7.3.1 M-powered. Ah well, no big loss. It's a cool feature, but it's not neccesary. Thanks.
