Default McDSP Filter Bank - Is it a CPU Hog?

Anybody have McDSP Filter Bank plugins? Have you found them to be CPU Hogs? I downloaded a trial version and susbtituted the McDSP for Waves Ren Eq. on a few tracks and my computer (G5 dual 2 ghz, 2000 RAM, Digi 002) maxed out. I like the plugin, but if it is going to take up this much CPU, I'll probably not want to spend the $.

hi,

usually McDSP I found far less taxing than Waves
I used it on PTLE 6.1.2 on 10.2.8.
I suggest asking McDSP, their support is fast!

Filterbank is wonderful and doesn't task your CPU.
It is on my short list of plugs I would never part with.
Use it in health and go with Grod!

FilterBank & CompressorBank sound phenomenal & are CPU efficient. I can pile them up without getting into trouble. Also, a great sounding and CPU friendly reverb is the WaveArts MasterVerb.

Try deleting your PlugIn preferences. I had that problem with some other plugs and that seemed to help.

Holy cow man, something is out of line with your dualie
I'm on a G4/ 1.4Ghz too with 1.25g of Ram and I can pile up Filter Banks -Analog Channels and Compressor banks all day long. They are worth the cash!!! The pre-sets are killer starting points and most of them are great as is.
Filter bank is awesome on pretty much anything we throw at it and not trying to hi-jack your thread, but Analog Channel THUMPS KICKS like MAD with Filter bank under it!!!!
