They already are
Until you apply and turn on the module, it isn't part of the clip.

So far I'm not loving this version. I, too, had the initial launch crash during plugin scanning.

What are the repercussions of this, because upon rebooting it did NOT attempt to finish the scan. Is something left in limbo?

Also, I'm getting nothing from my EuCon controllers. It's turned on in PT, the EuCon Settings show that all three devices are properly configured, but when I open a session those devices fail to connect to PT. They sit dormant. It's EuCon V 2023.11, which appears to be the latest version. No updates in four months?

PT updates were generally a walk in the park in 2023. This is the most work I've had to do to get things back to normal in quite a long time.

PT 2024.3 is running great on the old Mac Pro 5,1 with HD Driver 2023.3. I had false hopes again that Avid might fix whatever is causing the HD Driver from 2023.6 onward to no longer work on the old 5,1 mac pro but alas - no.

Interestingly Avid had reached out to me a few weeks ago from my constant griping on the DUC about this. We did remote sessions with HD Driver 2023.3 and 2023.12.1, observed the -6001 error, took logs of both working and non working configurations. The tech and I even discussed how many pro studios are still using 5,1's and how Avid was interested in fixing it.

Then last week I got the same canned response that the 5,1 isn't supported and I should continue to use HD Driver 2023.3. Thanks...

Avid should really hire Daryl as a consultant. He's always so spot on and has helped most of us for years.

WRT EUCON - Try going to EuControl Settings > Applications, removing PT 22.3 (or whichever previous version might be listed there) and then add in PT 24.3 (make sure you have it launched and have clicked/focused it right before going back to EuCSettings>Applications).
Hopefully that'll slap it upside. Worked here for me.

Oh no! Why has the M-Audio Keyboard protocol been removed from the Peripherals Midi window? This disables both V-Control Pro and Mulligan for me. Please bring this back!

You've probably not re-added Pro Tools to the application white-list in Eucontrol.
This Pro Tools identifies differently than last year's as 24Mac (verses all versions last year as 23Mac.) So it gets ignored.
That's why you don't have Eucon (it's working fine here)

Yeah, the first thing in the What’s New guide is a big notice about what you need to do with EuCon. Eddie Jones also wrote about this on the Facebook EuCon group early today (like, before anyone had talked about seeing PT 2024.3 online)
